Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Baby Name Quest ("we", "the site") collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain.

What we collect

• Gameplay data: the names you love or reject and your in-game choices, stored in your browser so you can resume. If you save to the cloud or play co-op, this is also stored on our servers, identified only by a short random code or your account.
• Email address (optional): only if you sign in to save your progress, or join co-op mode to be notified when your partner finishes. We use it for those purposes and to contact you about your account.
• Anonymous, aggregate statistics: we count how often names are chosen overall to power the public Trending names page. This is not tied to your identity.

Cookies & local storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember your quest, your music preference, and your cookie choice. If you accept advertising (see below), our advertising partner may also set cookies.

Advertising

To keep the game free, we may show ads via Google AdSense. Ads load only after you accept on the cookie banner. When enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where permitted. You can learn more and manage your choices at Google Ads & Privacy and Google Ad Settings. Pro members see no ads.

Third-party services

• Supabase — database and authentication (cloud save, accounts, co-op rooms).
• Resend — sends the co-op "your partner finished" email.
• Stripe — processes payment if you upgrade to Pro. We never see or store your card details.
• Google AdSense — advertising, only after consent.
• Vercel — hosting.

Your choices

• Decline ads: choose "Decline" on the cookie banner and no advertising cookies are set.
• Clear your data: clearing your browser storage removes your local quest. To delete a cloud save or account, contact us.
• Email: you can ask us to remove your stored email at any time.

Children

The game is intended for expectant parents and adults choosing names. It is not directed at children under 13.
